Who runs Izumicon?

  • Izumicon is operated by a core group of fans in Oklahoma. Izumicon is a for fan by fan show  – that means no one makes a profit from the convention- Not the owners, directors or staff. We do it for the love of fandom and the local community!

What is Izumicon?

  • Izumicon is a 3-day convention that celebrates fandom, Japanese anime (cartoons), fashion, music, pop culture, and video gaming.. We offer a variety of events and activities throughout the weekend. Video games, table top games, costume contests, a Reibu, a talent-filled Artist Alley, an expansive Dealer’s Room, and a formal ball are just a few activities included in the convention. We have something for everyone!

Why do you guys do this?

  • We love anime, pop culture, making you smile, and sharing that love with the uninitiated! By organizing Izumicon every year, we create a safe space for fans to meet, socialize, and enjoy themselves. Fandom has had an impact on our lives, and we want to be able to share that with others.

Where is Izumicon held?

  • Izumicon is held annually at the Cox Convention Center and the Renaissance Oklahoma City Hotel.

When is Izumicon?

  • This year Izumicon will be held January 6-8, 2017.

How much is a membership for Izumicon?

  • Badges for the convention have a tiered pricing schedule for the year. Prices can be found on the Registration page. At the door 3-day admission is $50.

Is there an age requirement to attend?

  • All ages are welcome at the convention! Children under 5 years old get in free, and ages 5-12 can enjoy the con at a lower child-rate for their membership. We do require that children under the age of 13 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We also offer a few adult only events, where entry will require a government issued ID to verify age.
